2nd Annual NO MORE Art Contest

Valley Oasis and Antelope Valley College will hold an art contest to bring awareness and to show we are united as a community in saying NO MORE to Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence!
The art contest will take place in April (Sexual Assault Awareness month).

Artwork must be a representation of the Antelope Valley College Oasis Committee mission statement:
The mission of the Oasis Committee is to change the campus culture and prevent violence by raising awareness and educating the community regarding topics such as domestic violence, sexual assault, bystander responsibility, dating violence and stalking, and to provide support to those who have experienced violence.

The contest will be judged in three separate categories:

  • Antelope Valley Students in grades 6 – 12 (minors need parental consent to participate
  • College Students
  • Community Members
Artwork must be submitted to AVC Student Services no later than April 18, 2018 by 6pm. All mediums of artwork will be accepted. Performance art (skits, monologues, song, etc.) need to be recorded and submitted on a thumb drive. Artwork will not be returned.

Artwork will be on display in the Antelope Valley College Student Lounge, April 23 – 25, 2018

Two winners from each category will receive Amazon Gift Cards: 1st Place - $100 / 2nd Place - $50
